In a major step towards digitalisation and citizen-centric governance, Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru (MBJB) has officially launched the eKHIDMAT app in collaboration with local tech partners.
The eKHIDMAT app allows residents within MBJB’s jurisdiction to conveniently:
– Pay assessment taxes
– Settle compounds
– Renew business and premise licenses
This initiative makes MBJB the first local authority in Johor to offer a fully integrated mobile application for municipal transactions — simplifying user experience compared to traditional online portals.
Through this mobile-first approach, MBJB aims to enhance accessibility, reduce waiting times, and promote a more efficient local government ecosystem. The app reflects Johor’s larger ambition under the Johor 4.0 digital transformation agenda to build a smart, inclusive, and service-oriented city.
