CTSB successfully deployed its first AI-powered image recognition solution at HLN 2025.

Majlis Bandaraya Pasir Gudang (MBPG) hosted the prestigious National Landscape Day (HLN) 2025 celebration from 25 to 30 June 2025 at Taman Bandar Bukit Layang-Layang. The event was officially launched by Her Highness Che’ Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor, with the gracious presence of Her Highness Tunku Tun Aminah binti Sultan Ibrahim, and attended by the Johor Menteri Besar, the Minister of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), and members of the Johor State Executive Council. This year’s theme, “Landscape Industry Driving MADANI Development,” highlighted the significance of landscape as a catalyst for sustainable urban development and community wellbeing. HLN 2025 offered a wide range of engaging activities, exhibitions, and competitions that brought together stakeholders, families, students, and local communities.

A key feature of the event was the involvement of Cybersolution Technologies Sdn Bhd (CTSB), which was acknowledged for its pioneering deployment of an AI-powered Image Recognition system using Smart CCTV and Computer Vision technology, developed under the Robotic and Smart City Unit. This innovative system was utilized to count and monitor visitor attendance in real time across all five days of the celebration. It served as a tangible demonstration of smart city innovation and efficient urban event management.

This digital initiative not only supports MBPG’s commitment to data-driven governance but also showcases the capability of local tech talent in implementing high-impact urban solutions. Furthermore, CTSB operated an open concept exhibition booth throughout the event, drawing significant attention to emerging topics such as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, and smart city ecosystems. The booth attracted visitors from a wide demographic, including school groups, educators, local government representatives, and technology enthusiasts, fostering meaningful discussions on digital transformation and sustainable development.

Through its integration of technology, education, and community outreach, HLN 2025 underscored MBPG’s visionary role in shaping Pasir Gudang into a forward-looking, livable, and green urban model. It is hoped that the AI systems, innovations, and collaborative frameworks presented during this event will continue to benefit not only MBPG but also serve as a scalable model for other local authorities and municipalities nationwide.
